Fort Payne Filter Cover Project
Fort Payne Water approached GEC with a problem of needing covers over the existing filters at the John Rains Water Treatment Facility. With regulations changing, FP Water saw the needs and benefits of having their filters covered. GEC was selected based on design concept, constructability, and estimated cost to design, manage the bid phase, manage construction, and inspect the project. The project consisted of covering the plants six finish water filters, a walkway, and replacing the roofing over the operations/control building.
The project was completed on time and within budget at a construction cost of $235,000.00.
